Biography

Carlos Pavon is a Nuclear Engineer who received his degree from the Balseiro Institute; he joined INVAP in 2012 as a nuclear analyst in the thermal-hydraulics field and has performed several evaluations for the NUR Reactor in Algeria and the RPF Plant in Egypt, among others. For the past two years he has worked at the Japanese Atomic Energy Agency, in Japan, towards the development of the Okuma Analysis and Research Center, supporting the efforts for the decommissioning of Fukushima Daiichi; now he is providing his technical expertise in establishing the methodologies for the design of MTR type reactors, and will be working on the Engineering of the Pallas Project for the Netherlands MTR Reactor.
